John Brewster’s “Bombers” Rediscovered on Rockbrat
John Brewster may be one of the key driving forces behind the success of The Angels but many might not know he is also one of the most integral participants across a much wider spectrum of the Australian Pub Rock scene.
In the late eighties John teamed up with four other rockers to form “The Bombers“. Showing the musicianship for which John is renowned leaves little doubt why the lineup included two members of the legendary band Status Quo.
We’ve unearthed a great expose on the Rockbrat Blog which, as well as detailing the history of The Bombers, also goes in to some depth about other facets of John’s rock music legacy.
The story, under the heading “Rockbrat Remembers”, talks of John Brewster’s inclusion in The Party Boys, his entry into the ARIA Hall of Fame as well as his musical kinship with the likes of Kevin Borich, Richard Harvey and John Swann.
